And you, a god, are the one who can arbitrate what is and is not humanity, I take it? You, who's never clawed your way through the dark, watching your fingers go raw and the air so thick you cannot breathe? You, who has lived a life of power and purpose, as opposed to those of us who fight, struggle, and suffer for nothing?

No, my little goddess, Quetzalcoatl pitied me because she saw the senseless lack of justice of the world I came from. The difference is that I refuse to accept pity for the unfortunate circumstances of my origin. You may pity me, you may even hate me, if you wish, but I am the truest of what we humans are. I am from nothing. I came from the sump and the muck and I made something of me and my people.

Your wrath, should you choose to bring it, is nothing to me. Quetzalcoatl and her people are as gone as the rest of our worlds were. Swallowed by nothing. I suggest you consider, then, that if I am willing to consign someone to nothingness, what I will do do you, should you try to stand in my way.

Gods always, always underestimate those of us without power. And I've been proven correct time and time again, that you always forget that your power can falter. Particularly when you least expect it.
