Good morning to you all.

I am seeking to add more sparring and training partners to my daily regimen. While I am a swordsman and a marksman, I have no special abilities like many of you do. At least, none that work on kaiju. I would like to train against those who are stronger than I who uses such abilities. I want to be able to learn how to attack and defend against a plethora of different attacks in order to be ready for anything a kaiju may throw at us.

In return, if you are interested in sword or handgun training, I would be glad to show you the ropes.

I'm a well-experienced combatant and seek those who will not hold back.

probably not, but that's still real cool. is it the sword itself that exorcises or is it you with it as a medium?

Both. I know how to channel the spells required to use it. Through the sword, I can use techniques that are most effective against demons.

I have tried this on the kaiju; there are not supernatural in nature, or they aren't as far as the rules of my world are concerned.

hm. hm hm hm. if it doesn't work on kaiju that only begs the question if there are other reasons some of us are here or if LILITH is playing some sorta cosmic crane game or something.

interesting. so if the sword has its own power and you have yours was there any sort of friction? like did you need to learn how to resonate or use it properly?

"Cosmic crane game" is part of it, I am sure. The universe is a very big place. I am sure if they had finer control over it, they would have picked someone more suited than I. Then again, I was among the first group brought here. Perhaps they were still fine tuning things.

In the hands of someone who is not a summoner, it would just be a normal sword. I went through years of training in order to become worthy of it, and wield it properly. I can imbue it with what we call magnetite, what others here might call energy or magic. Knowing the right forms, incantations, and use of mag all factor in.

Dude. Don't be so hard on yourself. You were kidnapped, yeah? Let's curb the sympathy for the captors. 'Sides. Even if you want to make a difference and help, there are tons of ways to do it. If you're any good with that katana and your powers, you gotta know that whoever has the biggest, baddest, insert-whatever isn't always going to win a fight.

there's only one you so there should be only things you can do.

I'm definitely not on LILITH's side, and I don't agree with their methods, but I at least understand how big the universe is and how tough it must be to find suitable fighters.

I had been exploring different ways to help. I've been trying some. During the last mission, I spent the whole time with the medical team, helping heal Outsiders and civilians alike. But sitting out of the battle while everyone else was giving their all didn't sit right with me. I don't want to do it again.

Really hard to wrap my head around how big it is, honestly. Constantly expanding and all that.

mm. understandable. maybe there's another application for your powers you've yet to consider. dunno the rules of where you come from. though it still sounds super cool. what all have you tried so far?

I have tried that, actually. I am a summoner, and usually have demons to aid me in battle as allies. I arrived here without them. So, I have tried a similar partnership with a few people here who you could say are closer to being a demons than humans, and it's worked quite well. They gain extra power for their abilities, as well as combined attacks.

It's something I want to explore more, if I can. Perhaps that way I can be more of an asset in the next mission.
